I have a sidewinder strategic commander, I would think that it would excel with this game but it doesn't even recognize its installed within game. kinda of a bummer.
Anyone else try to run one?
Thanks

I use a Belkin Nostromo n52 gamepad (that I bought 5 years ago), I just map the keys I want in the device's software profiler. It is, after all, just an input device, like a different kind of keyboard, treat it as a keyboard. I did not need to make any changes in the game key assignments either and the game does not recognize it - after all, like I said, it is just a different kind of keyboard. Your strategic commander is pretty much the same thing only with the odd mouse-like ability - you could even map that to your mech movements. Just make sure you have the software profiler.

Gotta say I use a Nostromo as well and it works amazingly, jump jets on the thumbs, E key zeros out my engine etc. That and a logitech g500 with the weapon groups 1-5 mapped to LB, RB, and three buttons on the side. Works well, but a mouse isn't super mechwarrior-y.

The Nostromo works very well with MWO (and with every other PC game I've played). I put a vid up on YouTube covering a framework for using the Nostromo with MWO. Ignore the WoW intro.. it's a channel branding thing..
